Have a Seat
Launched in March 2014, the Have a Seat campaign invited the GSIS community to play their part in supporting the Campus Development Plan by sponsoring chairs in the refurbished Ingrid Buchholtz Hall. As part of the new Middle Building facilities, the Hall was officially opened in November 2014.
We are very pleased to announce that the Have a Seat campaign raised over $2.3 million in donations for the Campus Development Plan and that every available seat in the Hall was named. All of the campaign’s donors can be rightfully proud of the contribution they made and GSIS is sincerely grateful for their support.
In closing the campaign, our Chairman of the Boards, Mr Ulrich Buchholtz wrote:
At the heart of the Have a Seat campaign has been a wish to involve the GSIS community in shaping the Ingrid Buchholtz Hall and in doing so, truly reflect what makes our school so special. Over the past six months, I have been tremendously impressed by the spirit of giving and generosity that you have all shown as donors to this campaign. Thank you.
Now refurbished under the Campus Development Plan, the Ingrid Buchholtz Hall can once again act as a focal point in school life – whether that be for assemblies, music and drama performances, or debating competitions, to name but a few of its uses. The space looks and sounds wonderful and I look forward to sharing it with you all very soon.Ulrich Buchholtz
