English Primary: Year-end Reflections
It was great to see so many parents attend our Primary Spring Concert. It has been wonderful to watch the students grow throughout the year as young performers. Thank you to Ms McLachlan for organising such an entertaining concert. Fitting 126 choir and orchestra students on our small Wan Chai stage is not an easy task. Thank you to all our GSIS families for their relentless support in bringing their child to early Friday morning orchestra sessions.
Our Year 6 students are looking forward to moving up to secondary school. We would like to thank Mr Ken Stevenson for organising the recent Y07 transition days up at the Peak Secondary school. Students returned back to school with a lot of enthusiasm.
Both Mrs Gallagher and myself have spent the last few weeks preparing for next academic year. Last weekend, allowed us both to reflect on what we have achieved collectively in the EPD over the last academic year. The move to our boutique Wan Chai has been a highlight of our year with staff, students and parents working well together to ensure the quality of education remains despite a campus move. Another highlight has been attending the various events that have showcased our students' passions and talents. We have particularly enjoyed connecting with many KPR parents throughout the school year to ensure the flow of communication has continued.
We would like to thank all EPD staff for their support towards both Mrs Gallagher and myself as we finish our first academic year in our respective roles at GSIS. The year has been very rewarding for both of us. Without the support of both our EPD and GPD colleagues on both Pok Fu Lam and Wan Chai campuses, this would not have been possible.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our EPD GSIS families a safe and restful summer.
