Swimming Lessons and Timetable

Swimming lessons will take place from 29 August to 14 October 2011 and from 16 April to 25 June 2011. (Please note: these dates are subject to change)

Please observe the following arrangements and requirements.

• Pupils must wear proper swimwear that is, swimming trunks (not surf shorts) for boys and an appropriate, one-piece costume for girls. Swimwear can be purchased at the school shop.
• Pupils with very sensitive skin may wear a solar suit for protection against the sun.
• Pupils with shoulder length hair must wear a bathing cap or tie up their hair. In principle, it is desirable that all pupils wear bathing caps.
• No jewelry or watches should be worn. Valuables should be kept in pupils’ lockers instead of in the changing rooms or schoolbags.
• The weather conditions or forecast in the morning shall not cause automatic cancellation of swimming lessons. However, as swimming lessons may be cancelled due to unforeseen reasons, sports gear should be brought to each lesson in case regular PE lessons take place.
