Community Involvement Group

CIG is the umbrella for all the student service groups at German Swiss International School (GSIS). Our aim is to raise awareness of world issues such, and, to promote strong leadership among our students. We strive to provide a helping hand to the underprivileged through service and fundraising events.

This year, CIG has chosen four recognized charities which our school supports:

• Orbis
• Somaly Mam Foundation
• St. James’ Settlement
• Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation

All the proceeds from any fundraising events will be evenly distributed among these four charities. They were chosen because each of them aims to help different kinds of people in different parts of the world. Instead of focusing on one cause only, we strongly believe that it is necessary to alert students of various global issues.
