ARRIVAL
Children arrive between 7:15 am and 9:00 am (Children arriving by bus are met by a Kindergarten teacher and led to the classrooms).

ACTIVITIES

FREE PLAY TIME
We offer the children a choice of a construction, a home and a reading corner, board games, puzzles, construction material, art and craft material etc. Each child decides what he/she wants to play with, how, where and how long they want to play and with whom.

TEACHER-LED ACTIVITIES (DURING FREE PLAY TIME)
These are organized as a whole class or as a small group activity. The teacher leads these activities, which may include cooking, rhythm exercises, arts and crafts, board games, role play.

GYMNASTICS
Once a week the children have gymnastics in small groups of around 10 to 12 children. Throughout the normal Kindergarten day children also have ample opportunity and space to develop various movement exercises (climbing, running, balancing, dancing, swinging, wriggling, creeping etc).

SNACK TIME
Each child brings his or her own snack. We provide water and milk.

MORNING CIRCLE – CHILDREN’S CONFERENCE
There is a great variety of activities for our morning circle. We sing songs, make music, learn new rhymes, songs and finger games, listen to stories and fairy tales, look at picture books, increase our knowledge and discuss joint activities. All morning circle activities are related to the theme we are working on.The children learn to be part of a group and develop a sense of responsibility as a group member. Their concentration and listening skills, their confidence in speaking in front of a group, their ability to sit quietly and their capacity to take in new ideas are further enhanced.

FREE PAINTING AND HANDICRAFTS
The children try out a variety of materials and colors such as clay, papier-mâché, water-colours, finger-painting, paste, wood etc. They paint their own stories, learn many different art and craft techniques, mix colours and learn to use pencils, brushes, scissors and glue correctly.

PLAYGROUND
The playground offers the children a place to run about, ride tricycles and climb. The children may build in the sand, play in the water area or hide away in the mini-house.

COMPUTER
Each classroom is equipped with a computer and educational programmes for children.

TIME TO GO HOME
We say goodbye with a farewell song and accompany the children to the bus.

Schedule may vary depending on the individual class and the day of the week.
