| | | | Community Involvement | | | | | CLASS CHARITY ACTIVITIES | | Each form class is encouraged to support a charity of their own choice, usually organised by the student representative. The range of activities have varied from cake sales to talent shows. Here is a list of some of the activities organised by the form classes: | | | Year 7 | | 7B started their first charity event by organising a bake sale for the Changing Young Lives Foundation.
7C brought in items from home for an auction for Crossroads to help those in Phillippines' slums raising over $6000. Another auction is planned on Tuesday 29th May in the IB Hall 1.15pm-3pm. | 
| | Year 8 | | K7,8B,8D and 8C impressed us with a collaborative effort for the GSIS Idol that raised over $22,000 for the refugees at Christian Action. The money will help to financially support two children from the centre for a year. 8C tempted us with Krispy donuts and raised $3500 for Chinese New Year gifts for the Hong Kong Sheung Kung Hui Welfare Council. This was followed with a visit by four students from GSIS to the homes of the elderly at the Tai Wo Housing estate.
8D is currently holding an Art Auction in the Middle Building. The money raised will help the Hong Kong Youth Art Foundation. |  | | Year 9 | | 9B's bake sale raised over $900 for the Disaster Relief Fund.
9C sold roses during Valentines Day to raise $2270 for the Markus Knösel Fund.
9D visited the Haven of Good Hope for the severely disabled and the China Coast residential home in April. | | | Y10-13 | | The Senior School have participated in various events including the 24 hour dinghy race for The Children Cancer Foundation; the "Stride for a cure" sponsored walk for the Hong Kong Cancer Fund and numerous flag days organised by Care.
Through Interact students have acted as mentors to lower school students. As prefects and members of CIG students have been instrumental in the organsiation of whole school events such as Dress Special Days and the Knockout. | .jpg) | In addition to these fund-raising, all form classes have helped to support various charities during Dress Special Days in October and December. K6 raised the most money during Orbis Pin Day. The next Dress Special day is 8th May for the Thalassaemia Association.
