Since its founding the Big Band has been one of the showpieces of GSIS. Its contributions to the annual Christmas Bazaars and the Spring Concerts have always gone down well because the members of the Band are very enthusiastic about their music.

The repertoire, which is going to be increased by pieces such as "In The Mood", "Take The 'A' Train", "On Broadway", "Jungle Boogie", ... in the coming school year, generally consists of evergreens and hits from Jazz, Rock and Pop.

Everybody who masters his/her instrument well is most welcome to join the Big Band. Apart from all kinds of saxophones we urgently need students playing the trumpet or the trombone.
