GSIS Development Plan 2006-2008

The primary purpose of GSIS is to foster student learning and growth. Our goal is to establish an environment where learning and growth is actively supported and then ensure it takes place. To facilitate this, the School is in the process of setting up a cycle of biannual School Review, Development and Evaluation.

School development is the process by which the school community develops the capacity to reflect on the nature and purpose of their work together. It involves an emphasis on data gathering and analysis, collaborative problem solving, structural change, and programme and curriculum development.

All members of the school community are invited to participate in the planning and evaluation process. The Draft Quality Framework by the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad may be used as a frame of reference to identify areas in which GSIS may improve.

The GSIS Development Plan 2006-2008 (view plans) encompasses strategic goals and specific actions to be implemented and evaluated internally and externally in 2006-2008.

The school management informed the Annual General Meetings of 30 November 2005 about some of the projects and highlights of the school development plans. Click here (PDF, 3.74MB) to view the slides.
