The Business College Committee (BCC) is responsible for the supervision, coordination and development of the Business Management programmes at GSIS. Based on the "dual model" developed in Germany, our training scheme combines both theoretical training at GSIS and hands-on training in local companies. The BCC works closely with the German Industry and Commerce/German Chamber of Commerce (GIC/GCC) Hong Kong to ensure a successful implementation and development of the "dual model" in Hong Kong. The BSC is comprised of members from the Association Board, Association members of the GSIS, the Committee of the GIC/GCC and GSIS faculty members. In addition to a "Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management Assistant" programme, a new training programme "Logistics and Transport Management Assistant" was started in September 2003. Both programmes offer excellent opportunities for young people to start their own careers in Hong Kong as well as for businesses to recruit and train well-educated young staff.
